1st Judicial District Adult Drug Court - Caddo Parish (JDC)
This program strives to reduce offender abuse and addictions to alcohol and/or other drugs. An intensive outpatient treatment program, it serves clients who have been referred by the 1st JDC judges and probation officers. The program aims to decrease criminal activity related to addictions. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - 318-222-6802
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) of Louisiana helps businesses increase employee productivity and employee retention by providing counseling for personal issues such as marital, family, emotional, alcoholism or other drug addictions, and/or financial matters. Louisiana Horse Racing Industry Program
The Council provides on-site substance abuse, gambling addictions, and EAP counseling for racetrack employees at all four Louisiana racetracks. This program is affiliated with the Louisiana Horsemen’s Benevolence Protective Association. Click here to learn more.
Addiction Training Institute (ATI)
The Addiction Training Institute (ATI) provides training and continuing education in dealing with alcohol or drug-related addictions. Workshops are for:
- Licensed counselors
- Counselors-In-Training (CIT)
- Mental health professionals
- Behavioral health professionals

Drug and Alcohol Screening Services
We conduct more than 10,000 drug screens each year. Our drug screen services test for the most commonly abused drugs. Alcohol may be tested for upon request. Click here for more information.
Access to Community Education Program (ACE)
ACE provides counseling and education to clients who are seeking alcohol and drug education, most often individuals who have been charged with a non-violent offense related to addiction.Clients are referred by judges, probation officers, private attorneys and other agencies. Clients are required to attend 12-Step meetings, group educational counseling, and submit to drug screenings. Program duration is typically 8 - 10 weeks depending on the client's clinical needs and legal mandates. Click here for more information.

CADA Adolescent Treatment Center
Provides a structured, safe and therapeutic environment utilizing intensive staff support for adolescents age 12-17. This 30-day program is the only program of its kind north of Alexandria, LA. Click here to learn more.
CADA Bossier Treatment Center

The CADA Bossier Treatment Center is a licensed facility offering treatment for adults and women with children. The CADA Bossier Treatment Center provides residential and halfway levels of care to those diagnosed with addictive diseases through three distinct programs and offers:
- Individual, group, recreational, and family therapy
- Job readiness training and/or continuing education
- Didactic and substance abuse educational lectures
- 12-Step community groups and relapse prevention
- Trauma and social skills counseling
- Addictive disease counseling groups
Buckhalter Residential Program
The Buckhalter Residential Program is a residential treatment center for adults and provides clients with a highly structured treatment experience. Clients are assigned either a short term or long term track based on their needs including progression of the disease, employability, and observed functional level.
Individualized treatment plans are created for each client utilizing a modified therapeutic community treatment model. Each client has a substance abuse counselor and is expected to attend and participate in 25 hours of therapeutic activities each week. Click here to learn more.
STEPS Detox
STEPS is a social detox program within the CADA Adult Treatment Center which serves as an entry point to the treatment process. STEPS assists adult clients in the very difficult days of withdrawals. Clients are assessed and evaluated by a substance abuse counselor. Residential services are provided including dormitory living and meals. Clients attend on-site 12-Step meetings and receive clinical evaluations and discharge planning. Click here to learn more.
Biedenharn Family Treatment Program
The Biedenharn Family Treatment Program is a unique program that serves pregnant and post-partum women suffering from an addictive disease. The program provides 6-12 months of treatment for mothers who have been diagnosed with addiction. Women may be pregnant or have children in their custody.
Having your children with you while in treatment eliminates a major obstacle for many women. Children reside with their mothers at the facility and each has an individual counselor. Clients learn parenting skills as well as sober living skills. Click here to learn more.
Veterans Recovery Center

The Veterans Recovery Center (VRC) is a 30-day residential facility located at the Mid-City Plaza Hotel. The 24-bed facility offers a caring environment for veterans suffering from addiction in partnership with the Overton Brooks VA Hospital's Substance Use Disorder Program (SUDS). The VRC provides clients with a safe recovery environment that integrates 12-Step programs with the recovery process. Click here to learn more.
