Veterans Recovery Center

The Veterans Recovery Center (VRC) is a residential facility located at the Mid-City Plaza Hotel on Line Avenue in Shreveport. The 24-bed facility offers a caring environment for male and female veterans suffering from the disease of addiction.

Referral

The Council works in partnership with the Overton Brooks VA Hospital's Substance Use Disorder Program (SUDS). Clients are referred to the Veterans Recovery Center solely by the VA Hospital.

Services and Length of Stay

Veterans who enter our program are welcomed with open arms. Clients rooms are adequately equipped with twin or full-size beds, linens, and dressers. Clients receive three meals a day from the facility. Veterans are transported to the VA Hospital daily and to community 12-step meetings. The program lasts up to 30 days.

The Veterans Recovery Program provides clients with a safe recovery environment that integrates 12-Step programs with the recovery process.
